About the 2025 CPSU Vic election

Election details

The 2025 CPSU Victoria branch elections are happening this coming June.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is conducting these elections.

Voting is entirely by post. The AEC has mail all voters on the electoral roll a ballot pack in June, to the address registered with CPSU Vic by each member. The voting period was from 10 June to 8 July.

Candidate nominations closed at 12 noon on Monday 12 May.

Vacancies

Union members will be able to vote for the union’s 5 executive roles:

  • secretary
  • assistant secretary
  • president
  • vice-president (2 vacancies)

You’ll also vote for branch council representatives from your electorate.

All Victorian Government workplaces are in 1 of the 9 electorates:

  • Central agencies (7 vacancies)
  • Education (2 vacancies)
  • Health and community services (4 vacancies)
  • Justice (9 vacancies)
  • Resources (3 vacancies)
  • Barwon/South Western region (4 vacancies)
  • Gippsland region (2 vacancies)
  • North Eastern region (1 vacancy)
  • North Western region (2 vacancies)
